Our Story
Every spring, the City of Toronto asks residents to report potholes and infrastructure problems by calling a phone number or sending an email. The process is slow. Meanwhile, accidents happen, damage accumulates, and frustration builds across the city.
We built FixOurHood to change that. Founded in January 2026, FixOurHood gives every Torontonian a way to report a neighborhood issue in under 30 seconds -- snap a photo, let AI handle the details, and your report goes directly to city services and your ward councillor.
The result: citizens have a voice, city teams get structured data, and communities can track progress together on a shared public map.
From the Founder
I have spent over 15 years building software across UX design, UI engineering, and full-stack development -- working with corporations, SaaS companies, and startups across diverse industries. My passion has always been building software that solves real problems people face daily.
Living in Toronto, I kept hitting the same frustration. I'd drive over a pothole and think: why isn't there a way to tell the city about this in a few seconds? The existing process -- a phone call or an email buried in a queue -- felt disconnected from how people actually live and move through a busy city.
That question sparked the idea. And my years of UX expertise shaped the answer: it had to be dead simple. No forms to fill out. No hoops to jump through. Take a photo, review what AI drafts, and send. A detailed report with evidence and location reaches city officials and your councillor -- all within seconds.
That obsession with simplicity drives everything we build at FixOurHood. Civic engagement should be effortless, not a chore.

Privacy & Data
We collect location data only to connect your report with the appropriate city team and ward councillor. Photos are processed by AI to identify the issue but are not stored publicly by default -- you choose whether to share on the public community map.
Your personal information (phone number, email) is used only for account verification and report updates. Public reports display only the issue type, location, photo, and description -- never your personal details unless you include them.
